An altered report card or a forged diploma harms honest students and the school's reputation. A document verifiable online cuts fraud short.
Why forgery is easy
A paper document or a PDF can be edited with common tools, and the recipient — employer, university, embassy — often has no simple way to check it.
How verification works
- The school issues the document and records it in a register of issued documents.
- The document carries a signed QR code, unique to it.
- The recipient scans the QR code: a page shows the authentic information.
- If the document was altered, it no longer matches what the page shows.
What to check in a solution
- The QR code's signature: without it, a forger makes their own QR code.
- Verification without an account: the recipient must be able to check in one scan.
- The register: the school knows which documents it issued, and to whom.
