Terms and conditions
By opening an account, the school accepts the terms below. They are written to be read.
1. Purpose
SuGes is an online school management and official document production service. The publisher grants its use to a school, for a fixed period, against payment of a licence.
2. Account and licence
Opening an account creates an isolated space attached to the school. The licence states its duration, the levels of study subscribed and, where applicable, caps on enrolment and user accounts.
The trial period is free, limited to thirty days, and requires no means of payment. It ends without automatic renewal.
3. When the licence expires
Data remains intact and readable. Only writing — creating, modifying, printing documents — is suspended until renewal. No data is deleted because of expiry.
4. Payment
Prices are stated in euros. Payment is made online by bank card (the licence opens as soon as the payment is confirmed), by Mobile Money where offered, or by bank transfer; in the latter case, the licence is activated manually after the payment is confirmed.
An early renewal extends the licence from its expiry date; a late renewal extends it from the day of payment. A school that is late does not pay for months already elapsed.
5. The school's obligations
- Provide accurate information when signing up.
- Protect its staff's credentials and report any unauthorised access without delay.
- Check documents before handing them over officially. SuGes computes and prints; the school signs and bears responsibility.
- Comply with the law applicable to the personal data of pupils and their families.
6. Availability and support
The publisher uses reasonable means to keep the service available, without guaranteeing the complete absence of interruption. Maintenance is announced where possible, and scheduled outside school peak periods.
Support can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by WhatsApp, phone and email.
7. Liability
The publisher's liability is limited to direct damages and capped at the licence amount paid for the current period. Indirect damages are excluded, as are the consequences of erroneous entry by the school.
8. Termination and exit
The school may decline renewal at any time. On request, a full and usable export of its data is handed over, free of charge and with no conditions, within fifteen days.
The publisher may suspend an account for non-payment after a reminder, or for manifestly abusive use. Any suspension is notified and reasoned.
9. Changes to these terms
Any substantial change is notified thirty days before it takes effect. A school that refuses it may terminate without penalty and obtain a pro-rata refund.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The parties will seek an amicable settlement before any action; failing that, the courts of Ottawa (Ontario, Canada) have jurisdiction.
